This is one of my favourite views in London, the East Reservoir, which the New River runs into to the north of Stoke Newington. It was the first of the river walks I did, in the summer of 2000.

This is a drinking fountain at the foot of the Hugh Myddleton statue on Islington Green. The New River would have flowed past here.

The River Fleet used to run alongside Old St Pancras Church. Nearby was Pancras Wells, a healing spa.

The source of the Moselle, on the slopes of Muswell Hill, is close to Hornsey Old Church, off Hornsey High Street. The river would have then run east towards Tottenham.
